Facility Usage
NIPAWIN UNITED CHURCH
Nipawin United Church is part of the Nipawin community and is pleased to share its facilities with community groups. In an attempt to be fair in the following policies regarding services rendered, such as power, water and equipment use, a minimum suggested usage donation has been applied. We feel this is a reasonable balance between Christian charity and the financial realities of maintaining a large physical facility.
Groups will agree to use the facilities according to the following guidelines.
User Groups will assume full responsibility for the building and grounds of Nipawin United Church during the time of allocated use.
Unless other contractual arrangements are made with the church, set up for an event or activity is the responsibility of the user group. Chairs, tables and other equipment must be returned to their locations before the end of the contracted time.
User Groups will assume responsibility to repair or replace any damaged or missing property. All facilities are to be treated with respect. (Soft soled shoes for sporting activities, no disorderly conduct, etc.) User Groups will ensure all equipment and other items used will be clean and put back in the same condition in which they were found. A surcharge may apply if dishes or equipment are missing or broken or if the rented areas require special cleanup. Damages are to be reported promptly to the church office
Tidiness: User Groups are reminded that many events and activities take place on the church premises. Respect is to be shown for church premises and property which are to be left in the condition in which they were found. Groups and individuals are asked to reduce garbage and use our recycling program.
User Groups will ensure that all doors are locked and lights are turned off when leaving the premises. Make arrangements with the Church Secretary for building access. Borrowed keys must NOT be duplicated. Keys must be returned to the mail slot in the secretary's door.
User Groups are authorized to use only the rooms allocated plus the adjacent washrooms.
Gambling, alcoholic beverages and smoking and illicit drugs are prohibited on church property.
User Groups are to be aware that Nipawin United Church will not be held liable for any accident or injury resulting from the User Group's activity; and the User Groups will indemnify Nipawin United Church against any claim arising from the use of this property. Upon request, the User Groups will provide proof of adequate insurance coverage while on the premises of Nipawin United Church.
Nipawin United will not issue charitable receipts for any facility usage donation.

For a commercial event using the basement with the use of the kitchen for a meal, the minimum suggested donation would be $100.00 for the part-day or $250.00 for the full day.

Sanctuary
From time to time the Sanctuary may be used by the public to offer music recitals,music practices or cultural events. These events should be coordinated with the Church Office. The Cultural Groups using the Sanctuary should be advised that a donation towards the life and work of the Church would be appreciated.
Permission must be obtained in advance from a Minister or the Chair of the Building and Maintenance Committee to install, move or alter any furnishings, settings, hangings, equipment or other items in the Sanctuary.
