Our minister has been here since May of 2019.

The Rev Beth W Johnston was ordained by the Maritime Conference in 1988 after obtaining a B.A. from Mount Allison University and a M.Div. from Atlantic School of Theology.  She served internship sites in Thunder Bay, ON and Upsalquitch-Robinsonville, NB.  She has served Alma-Albert Pastoral Charge and  Rexton Pastoral Charge in NB, Kings United Pastoral Charge in PEI, Malagash-Wallace (now Three Harbours) and Hantsport Pastoral Charges in NS and, for a total of 19 congregations.  Though she was born and raised in Prince Edward Island, she does have some Saskatchewan connections.  Her grandparents farmed in Rouleau, where her father was born, but the family moved to PEI when he was a small boy in the early 1930’s.  A great aunt lived in Regina all her adult life.

She brings a passion for preaching, adult faith formation, pastoral care and community outreach.

She firmly believes that church is more than, “a place to sit” as the Bridging Waters Facebook page proclaims.  Her challenge question is: “Where is the Church of Jesus Christ on Tuesdays?”  We know where we are on Sunday but where are we and how are we living our faith the rest of the week?

She and her cat “Puddy Tat”,  have made a comfortable home in the manse and hopes to continue to engage with the Bridging Waters congregations in the mission to be the church in the local area, Saskatchewan, Canada and the world.

For a number of years she has maintained a website where she publishes her sermons. You may find it at http://www.angelfire.com/in/preachrcl/index.html .
